Bonus Towns
Massachusetts has not always had 351 Cities and Towns.  The most recent 'adjustment' came in 1938, as the Quabbin Reservoir drowned the former towns of Dana, Enfield, Greenwich and Prescott.  Other former towns were absorbed by growing cities like Boston or Haverhill, or stolen from Massachusetts by Rhode Island and Connecticut.  Not to mention the entire state of Maine, part of Massachusetts until 1820.

In the spirit of BikeMass351, we have expanded our routes to include former cities and towns in addition to present ones.  PS -- if you are aware of any other former towns we have missed, email at: mike@bikemass351.com
